Our Process
When dealing with mold of this magnitude, it is important to understand proper cleanup and testing takes time. Setting critical barriers up with 6 millimeter polyethylene and utilizing negative air machines for proper air circulation are the fundamental starting points for correct remediation. During the process of mold remediation, technicians are fitted with respirators and Tyvek (bio-hazard) suits. The goal, when removing contaminated materials, is to remove the materials in a controlled manner, to not create a lot of dust and not to spread microscopic spores. Once the wood structure has been exposed, the detailed cleaning work starts. SERVPRO of Northern Las Vegas utilizes a “green”, non-toxic, plant based, anti-microbial and disinfectant. The process continues by treating all the exposed structure and vacuuming using hepa-filtration. The process is wrapped up by performing a “wet-wipe” and spray down with our botanical anti-microbial. Once these steps have been completed, the containment is ready for visual inspection and air sampling by certified Industrial Hygienists. If you suspect mold or have identified an abnormal, musty smell, call SERVPRO of Northern Las Vegas, today!
